General: An attractive, smallish fern with dark green fronds, with golden or yellow undersides.

CSUCI: Generally occurs as small isolated plants in well-shaded spots. Not extremely common.

Active from shortly after first rains (October/November) through mid to late May. Sporulation commonly observed.
