General

A shrubby plant will ill-smelling foliage that is typically found on coastal bluffs, and rarely far from the ocean. It produces yellow flowers and distinctive, pod-like fruits.

CI

This species is an indicator (along with Leptosyne gigantea) that the hillsides around CSUCI receive some ocean effect weather. It is not extremely common around CSUCI, but present in a number of spots, sometimes as individual plants, sometimes in patches. It is usually found in exposed, sun drenched areas.

Flowering may be expected almost any time of the year.

This plant proved relatively easy to root from cuttings, although the plants produced grew very slowly.
